Mission

To create a complete and well-structured database for Vietnamese music and provide a user-friendly interface for accessing the database.

The Database

VMDb's database is modeled after American "All Music Guide" with revision for specific nature of Vietnamese music. The database includes: Artist info: works, performances, biography, resource links, ... Song info: lyric, musicsheet, liner notes, ... Production info: albums, titles, media files, ... The database also categorizes Vietnamese music into styles (genre, mood, situation, tempo) and collects statistical data of listeners' interest.

Accessing to VMDb database can be via different interfaces: Web interface - this site Application programming interface (embedded into media applications) Personal desktop interface via our desktop application
